Having defeated Llantrisant and Caerffili in a preliminary round, Rhondda Tennis Club’s Mini Tennis Orange team progressed to the finals of the South East Wales Mini Tennis Club League tournament, held at Newport Tennis Centre on July 7th. There they had to play against teams from David Lloyd, Allt yr Ynn and Crickhowell. They demonstrated the progress they have made as a result of their coaching by finishing a creditable third having beaten Crickhowell to clinch third place. Well done the team. It is worth mentioning that the Red Team, the 4 – 7 year olds, had also qualified for the finals, but on this occasion were unable to travel because of other commitments.

Mini Club League at Caerffili Tennis Club
On Saturday 24 March 2007, teams from Rhondda Tennis Club were involved in a competition at Caerffili. The 'Red' and 'Orange' teams won their sections and will now take part in the next round at Newport.

News! - 'Nominated Juniors'
Melissa has recommended
that the following junior members be given 'nominated junior' status (allowing
them to take part in 'club night' sessions after 6.00 pm with adult members:
Keiron Lewis, Kevin Williams, Sarah Lewis, Jessica Pearce,
Steffan Davies, Joel Baker, Michael Denton and Steffan Denton.
